Happy Birthday Dear Joey!

Today is my beautiful son’s birthday . . . Joey is 29 today and one of the most incredible people I have ever known.  Here is a letter to you my son . . .

Dear Joey,

I always wanted to be a mommy and while I certainly loved you from the second you were born, I have actually loved you my entire life. You were a dream long ago in my heart . . . and then you were born, a miracle and one of the greatest blessings of my life. You were an easy baby . . . always laughing and happy! You were a wonderful little boy and watching you grow up is a gift I am grateful every single day! Thank you for loving me and for letting me hold on those times you were ready to let go.

I know you hear me say and write I love you . . . but I wonder if you will every truly know how much. You make me think and make me laugh . . . and because of you, I believe a better world is possible. When you were born you changed my life and now I know you change the world because you care about people, animals, the environment and the future. I am proud of you beyond measure!

You really amaze me . . . so smart and so kind (and unbelievably beautiful). I hope you have a great day Joey . . . I am looking forward to being together soon with the best 29th Birthday Hoopla ever!!!

I love you, Mom

My Beautiful Lovely Friend

Yesterday was the perfect day for a Beach Picnic!  Sunshine + Blue Water + Sand + Picnic Food + My Angel Friend = Happy Place!!!  Sitting next to my dear friend watching the waves roll in helps me get back to me.  Sometimes in life you find a special friend . . . Someone who changes your life just by being part of it . . . Someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop . . . Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.  That someone is my dear friend Debi. Feeling so blessed . . . so grateful for this day . . . thank you God . . .

Happy 91st Mom!!!

My mother is the bones of my spine, keeping me straight and true. She is my blood, making sure it runs rich and strong. She is the beating of my heart. I cannot now imagine a life without her.”
